ColourLovers v4

So, colourlovers have a new website, really nice stuff actually, improved tools, new technology, I love it. I’m a bit dissapointed tho… the 5 color limit just kills me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the way it’s organized and extracting colors from a photo is amazing, the limit thing just makes it almost useless for me.
I used to be a Kuler fan (I’ve had an account since they’ve launched the thing) but didn’t use it very much for the same reason… 5 color limit. I’ve made layouts for tons of websites, I choose a color palette from the beginning and I’ve never used just 5 colors… never, at least 7 or 9. You could say “ok, how about two palettes?!” but what’s the point of having your colors arranged in a palette if you’re going to have two or more for one project; standalone colors or gather the ones that go together in a palette…
That’s why for some time now I store my color files in an easy to reach folder with 7, 9 or 56 colors in a set. I made a section of this website that has 7 or more colors in a set, but still waiting for a webapp that can gather colors that make sense together in one place. Even if it’s a far to reach option for eccentrics like me.
